For almost 30 years, Shakarongo music which initially was trading as Jah Entertainment, has delivered unmatched music festivals and sound quality, prominent among them, the “One Love Bob Marley Reggae Festival which has been running since 1991, and in the past years; the Zambian Women In Music Festival, Summer Reggae Festival and Peace Concerts for the Electoral Commission of Zambia. Other collaborations or as promoter Rep; The annual Chikuni Tonga Music Festival, The Radisson Blu Hotel – Zambia Battle of The Bands competition and many more other events.

 

Headed by Shakarongo Brian Chengala Shakarongo a veteran musician in Zambia, with vast experience in the music business. An accomplished drummer and Silimba (Zambian Xylophone) player himself, who has worked as National Project Coordinator for international youth music empowerment organisations; Music Crossroads under the Swedish and Belgian organisation Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI) and Africa Alive under the Zambia Integrated Health Programs (ZIHP) and the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Centre for Communication Programs, Baltimore, USA, Shakarongo is regarded as a top Zambian music promoter and music training project coordinator.

 

 

The following services are available to promoters or event co-producers and clients wishing to contract Shakarongo Music & Entertainment.

 

 

• Festival or Concert promotion: Promoters or Co-promoters/Producers of both large crowd outdoor music festivals or concerts and small scale indoor events for corporate institutions, musicians any other clients.

• Artiste Management and Coordination:   Coordinating and managing all the Artistes on and off stage

• Stage Management:  Coordinating and organizing load in, set-up, sound checks and schedule show times, organize load out and to coordinate the Artistes/performances and the MCs.

• Production Management:  Advancing technical and labour aspects of the music section; Producer of the show and coordinating all the technical staff and crew.

• Booking Agency: Engaging/Booking/Identifying bands or artists and making all travel and tour arrangements on behalf of the client.

• A & R (Artiste and Repertoire) Management:  Responsible for identifying musicians and formulating the direction of pre-concert/festival arrangements

• Consultancy:   Providing general music business advice and drawing of a standard contract to engage the Artistes.
